Buildability & Sequencing

The volumetric housing system, developed by Modulous aimed at solving pain-points of construction and to provide a full turnkey, end-to-end solution. The kit of parts was standardised to be configured in different ways to build various forms of volumetric modules.

Providing a buildability and installation review we discovered various shortcomings of the system that needed addressing to ensure achievable and safe construction. During our involvement with the project we developed digital twins of ‘as manufactured’ modules to stress test the installation sequencing for a live development project, discovering risks and mitigating prior to construction.
