Grow System DfMA & Prototyping
Working on behalf of our client, our task involved designing an innovative, hygienic growing system specifically tailored for use in a vertical farm environment.
To achieve this, we employed state-of-the-art design tools, enabling us to create detailed digital models of the proposed growing spaces and systems. These digital prototypes were crucial in facilitating productive development discussions, allowing us to explore various design possibilities and refine our approach. Additionally, these models played a significant role in supporting the creation of accurate cost models, providing a clear financial perspective on the project.
For a more tangible understanding of the system, physical prototypes were developed by the MMC experts at Easi Space. The creation of these prototypes was a critical step in bringing the digital concepts into the real world. They served multiple purposes: firstly, as a demonstrative tool to present our vision and progress to stakeholders, offering them a concrete representation of the project. Secondly, these prototypes were instrumental in testing the functionality of the systems for small batch growing experiments, allowing us to observe and fine-tune the system's performance in real-world conditions.
